Eligible Charitable Contributions

Below is a list of organizations dedicated to rescue and place unwanted and displaced animals. In addition to providing shelter, these groups also educate the public, provide some medical and licensing services and can even help find lost pets. Funding is always necessary to provide quality care and services for the millions of stray animals today and this can be done through fundraisers and donations. Each donor will receive a confirmation from The Purrfect Pet stating the amount and the benefacting organization.

This shelter has been serving the community since 1887 by providing care for animals in need of shelter in Albany, Rennsealer and surrounding counties. The Shelter offers such diverse services as finding homes for animals, providing shelter for stray animals, offering assistance to owners of lost animals, micro chipping, providing limited veterinary care, and maintaining pet licensing. In addition, the Shelter sponsors various community education and outreach programs throughout the year. The Shelter's field services include rescue and care of injured or distressed animals, investigation of reports of animal abuse and neglect, and the enforcement of Agriculture & Markets laws.

The primary purpose of Peppertree is to help find homes for dogs in need who represent good character, temperament friendliness, intelligence with a peaceful, loving nature in upstate New York. Peppertree will also assist and hopefully contribute to the growing interconnection between rescue groups, shelters and others working with homeless animals.

Donate to help the animals affected by Katrina's devastation. The ASPCA has been helping animals since the late 1800's and continues to remain a nationally known for their dedication and support for millions of animals.
